History of bridge and its evolution with the emergence of new technologies

Bridge, originating from "Biritch" in 1885, evolved into contract bridge in 1925, becoming the global standard. The digital age saw the birth of the first LAN bridge software by Thierry d'Herbigny in 1983, followed by online bridge in 1987, taking advantage of emerging technologies such as the Minitel. Innovation continued with the development of mobile bridge games in 2007, and the introduction of the "Playmate," a smartphone- and Wi-Fi-based technology, in 2011. In 2013, bridge embraced "big data," using artificial intelligence and historical human decisions to refine the game. This evolution underscores the continued adaptation of bridge through the ages.

Rules of the game of bridge

Bridge is a captivating card game played by four players, forming two teams of partners. Each player is dealt 13 cards from a standard 52-card deck, and the objective is to win tricks through a strategic bidding process. The cards follow the classic order, from Ace (highest) to Two (lowest), and are divided into four suits: clubs, diamonds, hearts, and spades, with the option of playing no trumps, where no suit is dominant.

Bridge combines thought, strategy, and cooperation, with each game being a new tactical adventure.
